The Telkom Foundation was established on 1 April 2002 as a non-profit organization. Its main objective is to contribute to the upliftment of disadvantaged communities through sustainable development programs.
Part of the foundations essence is to create a philosophy and mindset towards empowerment and to become more focused, efficient and accountable in the implementation of its projects.
Telkom SA is deeply committed to South African democracy and good corporate citizenship. Core to the company's philosophy is a desire to improve the quality of life of all South Africans.

Proudly South African is a dynamic campaign designed to promote South African companies, products and services, which are helping to create jobs and economic growth in our country.
With the above goals in mind Telkom has committed R8,25 million in sponsorship money, over the next three years to the campaign.
